Biography

Since graduating in fine art, Ali has designed for indoor and outdoor theatre, pantomime, ballet, musical theatre, carnival and opera.

Her work in carnival has taken her to Trinidad and Brooklyn, and she has designed for theatre in Singapore, Moscow and Berlin. Her designs for Northern Ballet have toured worldwide, while designs for smaller companies such as Red Ladder have reached some of the most remote non-theatre venues in far flung corners of the UK.

Ali is a 'hands on' designer, an experienced scenic artist and prop maker, and has been known to wield a needle and thread at a push.
